Hayate Yoshida stepped off an airplane into Sacramento International Airport on Sept. 29, ready to start 10th grade as a Japanese exchange student at River City High School.
He’s being hosted by Bill and Mona Quinterro.
Hayate enjoys playing tennis and soccer, and listening to music, reports Tony Schwall, a member of the Centennial Rotary Club, which is sponsoring his stay. Hayate is from the Hokkaido prefecture, on a northern island of Japan.
