The Yolo County Children’s Alliance sponsored its fifth annual “Community Giveaway Day” to those who queued up outside Westfield Village Elementary School on Nov. 19.
They’ve crunched the numbers: 394 families received complete Thanksgiving dinners, over 300 handmade blankets and 1,500 toys were distributed. People began lining up for the event at 3 a.m.
The distributed goods were donated by community members & businesses.

Perhaps it was partly a sign of the times: a line of those looking for donated food, clothes & household goods stretched around the Westfield Village campus
