A developer has asked the city for design review for a project involving 354 multifamily dwellings in a “medium density” project near the Tower Bridge.
Developer Wolff Enterprises LLC, of Scottsdale, Arizona, is pursuing the project on land now owned by the Teel Family Trust. The development is called the “Raley’s Landing West Capitol Commons Project.”
The agenda item for the planning commission’s design review (scheduled for June 26) says the homes will go on about 8.5 acres just north of the Tower Bridge Gateway, bordered also by Third, Fifth and G streets. Plans call for three- and four-story buildings including some live/work units, and for 5,000 square feet of retail at Tower Bridge Gateway and 5th Street.
The city is being asked to abandon Fourth Street inside the development. The street would then become a private road inside the project.
Planners will look at the design as part of their meeting at 6 p.m. on June 26 at 1110 West Capitol Avenue.
