FROM THE WEST SACRAMENTO NEWS-LEDGER — SEPT 5, 2012 -

Former West Sacramento resident John Vinson reports that he will shortly begin installing hundreds of American flags at the corner of South River Road and Jefferson Boulevard in Southport.

Vinson creates the annual flag display as a remembrance of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

The flags will go up beginning Friday, Sept. 7, and will come down at sundown on Sept. 11, said Vinson.
