West Sacramento’s Elena Villegas (second from right) was part of a group that met with Governor Jerry Brown on Sept. 29 to promote keeping the state’s community colleges affordable to students.

Brown is pictured at the left front.

Villegas is a community college student active with groups advocating for public college and university students. She attends Sacramento City College’s campuses in Sacramento and West Sacramento.
