NEWS-LEDGER — JUNE 19, 2013 –

The West Sacramento Early College Prep charter school graduated its first group of high schoolers in a ceremony June 9 at UC Davis.

The young school began teaching only the lower grades but has since filled out to become a grade 6-12 school. Partners include the UC Davis School of Education, Sacramento City College, and UC Davis. It was intended to make college more achievable for families that otherwise might not pursue that opportunity for their kids.
