The annual New Year’s Eve fireworks show returns to Old Sacramento on Dec. 31, with shows at 9 p.m. and midnight, viewable from the West Sacramento riverfront near the ziggurat, or from Old Sacramento. In Old Sac, there will also be street entertainment, live music and children’s events. You may bring blankets and chairs, but no alcohol. The midnight “sky concert” will be broadcast on FM 96.9, The Eagle.
The Tower Bridge will be closed to cars from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., and will close to pedestrians for 30 minutes before and after each concert. For more information, visit www.nyesacramento.com.
