El Dorado nips RCHS boys varsity

Last Wednesdsay, Feb. 15, marked the last home game of the season for the River City High School boys basketball teams, and also marked Senior Night for the 3 outgoing seniors — Mark Gidenko, Chanh Saeturn and Nico Rocha.
The River City freshman team dominated their game against El Dorado, winning by 30 points. The JV game was a thriller, with River City winning in double overtime.
Although the varsity game was close, River City fell to El Dorado by 3 points.

The high scorers for the night were as follows:  JV: Richard Dasilva jad a game high of 20 points. Varsity: Jose Chacon had 24 points and Malik Dumetz scored 12. Final Scores: Freshman – 79-49 (W), JV – 81-77 (W), Varsity 66-63 (L).
