Next of kin sought after train death

NEWS-LEDGER — APRIL 18, 2012 —

A man was hit and killed by a passenger train at about 3:45 p.m. near the Ikea store and Commerce Drive on April 11.

Robert LaBrash, Chief Deputy Coroner for Yolo County, said the man has been identified as a 47-year old transient who lived near the site where he was killed. But the man’s name was still being withheld because his wife, also a transient believed to be in West Sacramento, has not been located and notified.

The circumstances of the death are still being investigated. Anyone who may have information about the incident or about the man’s spouse is invited to call the coroner’s office at (530) 668-5292, said LaBrash.
