On April 20, the West Sacramento Rotary Club held its Foundation Dinner at the D.O. Mills building in Sacramento.  The RCHS Interact students served appetizers on the rooftop garden.  The students also bused tables for over 120 diners in the grand ballroom for this event.

Rotary Club members pitched in for the fundraiser: Jerome Daigre provided guitar music in the reception area, Jeb Burton provided the wine, Luan Christ organized the event, Jim Cahill was the Master of Ceremonies, Tim Kwong was the photographer, and Michael Finney, a childhood friend of the Engstrom family, provided the comedy and magic show.

Community Business Bank donated $5,000 towards the event.

The West Sacramento Rotary Foundation has issued $125,000 in local scholarships since 2006.  Next year the WS Rotary Foundation plans to provide $25,000 in scholarships — its largest one-year amount yet.

The WS Rotary Club meets every Friday at noon at Club Pheasant.  The RCHS Interact Club meets every Monday lunch at the RCHS Black Box Theater.
