NEWS-LEDGER ONLINE — JULY 26, 2012 –
Yolo County District Attorney Jeff Reisig announced yesterday that on July 24, Dmitry Dudkin, a 27-year old West Sacramento resident, was convicted of two counts of child molestation after pleading no contest.
Reports the D.A.’s office:
“Dudkin, molested an 8-year old girl from 2009 to 2011. The crimes were discovered when the victim went to school with a hickey on her neck. The victim told the police that Dudkin showed her pornography and asked her to perform various sexual acts on him. The victim also disclosed that Dudkin took pictures of her with his cell phone. The Yolo County High-Tech Crimes Taskforce analyzed Dudkin’s computers and cell phones taken and found provocative photos of the victim.
“Deputy District Attorney Sara Abrate prosecuted the case and stated ‘With the assistance of the High-Tech Task Force we were able to locate evidence that supported the victim’s statements and obtain a plea from the Defendant. This plea ensures that justice has been served not only by taking a child molester out of our community but also by protecting the victim from the trauma of having to testify in court. In addition, the sentence he will receive will ensure that he will not harm another child.’
“Dudkin faces life in state prison and will be sentenced on August 24, 2012 by the Honorable Judge Stephen Mock.”
