NEWS-LEDGER — MAR 27, 2013 –
A nonprofit housing developer has announced groundbreaking for a 70-unit affordable housing project to open in the fall of 2014 in West Sacramento’s Bridge District.
“The Rivermark” will go up at 959 Bridge Street (at 5th Street). The 188-acre Bridge District, near Raley Field, has been master-planned by the City of West Sacramento for a variety of urban uses, and the Rivermark will join “Ironworks” as a new housing project in the district.
The project is being developed by BRIDGE Housing (www.bridgehousing.com).
Groundbreaking at the site is scheduled for April 5.
Bridge Housing reports that the apartments “will be affordable to residents with annual incomes ranging from approximately $24,000 to $34,600 for a four-person household (30-50 percent of area median income).”
Rents will range from $370 to $925/month depending on income, household size and apartment size.
The project was designed by David Baker & Partners, and general contractor is Sunseri Construction, Inc.
The Rivermark is Bridge Housing’s first venture in West Sacramento.
