ABOVE: Crews head past a freighter and head for the dock after Sunday’s round of three-mile rowing races at the Port of West Sacramento. Bill Naddy of the local River City Rowing Club reports the annual regatta drew over a thousand athletes this year — including high school teams, college crews and masters rowers.

“This event is now the fourth-largest fall regatta on the West Coast,” said Naddy.
