California Lottery officials just announced that a lottery ticket purchased at a West Sacramento gas station is worth $487,000.
The buyer matched ‘Powerball’ winning numbers 3, 26, 28, 34 and 42 – missing only the sixth number, 28. The Powerball jackpot now goes to $186 million.
The $487,000 ticket was purchased for $2 at Century Chevron, 1015 Jefferson Boulevard, in West Sacramento.
UPDATE: As of Friday morning, Oct. 18, this prize had not yet been claimed.
The Lottery Commission advises winners to immediately sign the back of their ticket, keep it in a safe place, and take it to the lottery office as soon as possible. Winners have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim their prize.
