Yolo County sheriff’s deputies arrested two out-of-town men found with a large amount of marijuana.
Sheriff’s spokesman Mark Persons reports a deputy contacted the pair at about 8:20 a.m. on Oct. 30, while they were parked in the southbound lot at an I-5 rest stop in the north-Yolo town of Dunnigan.
“During contact, the deputy detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the interior and rear bed of the vehicle,” reported Persons. “A search of the vehicle revealed several large duffle bags containing 30 one-pound bags of individually packaged marijuana, and 21 non-prescribed Vicodin tablets.”
Arrested were 22-year old Eric Martin Scott of San Jose and 26-year old Adam Gabriel Barrett of Lancaster. They were charged with possession of marijuana and offering to sell or furnish the drug. Scott was also charged with possession of a controlled substance.
They were jailed before being released on $50,000 bail, and will be arraigned Nov. 27.
