Boxer-type dog sought after West Sac bite

The Yolo County Sheriff’s Department Animal Services Section is looking for a dog and its owner after a biting incident Friday morning at a West Sacramento dog park. Finding the dog can help prevent the victim from having to undergo rabies exposure treatment.

The incident happened about 11 a.m. on Jan. 10 at the Sam Combs Park’s dog run.  According to the Animal Services Section:

“An adult male was in the Sam Combs dog park, 205 Stone Boulevard, and was attempting to break up a dog fight that started when the dogs were playing at that location, when the victim was bitten by the dog that began fighting with (the victim’s) dog.”

The bite victim describes the biting dog as a medium size brown or “brindle” boxer with a “New York Giants” collar and tags. That dog’s owner was described as a white male, about 5’9″ tall, with a thin build. The man was wearing glasses and had a New York-type accent.
