Need help escaping the heat? West Sac opens several ‘cooling centers’
NEWS-LEDGER ONLINE — JUNE 9, 2014 —
West Sacramento’s “Cooling Centers” are now open to members of the public who need a cool place to stay healthy and escape hot temperatures.
Water is available at all sites, but bringing a re-useable water bottle is advised. Dress in layers so you can shed layers when in the shade and add to cover skin when in direct sunlight.
The cooling centers are air-conditioned, so some people might find a sweater to be a good idea.
Comfortable seating is available.
