The Tower Bridge will close down for the evening of Sunday, September 28, for the second annual “Farm to Fork” dinner on its deck. The event is a fundraiser for Sacramento’s “Farm to Fork Celebration,” held this year on the Capital Mall on Sept. 27.
Dinner on the bridge is served “family style,” and will feature “locally sourced” food created by at least 30 local chefs, including Jason Poole of the Hyatt Regency Sacramento and Brian Mizner of Hook & Ladder.
Tickets are $175 per person (maximum of four per purchase) or $5,000 for a table of eight with sponsorship benefits. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 21, at farmtofork.com.
Tickets for the inaugural Farm to Fork Gala last year sold out in a matter of hours, although the number of seats has been increased to 800 for this year’s dinner.
Many Sacramento-area restaurants plan to offer special menus and pricing to celebrate the “Farm to Fork” theme. Patrick Mulvaney of Mulvaney’s B&L plans a pig feed on September 14 at Raley Field in West Sacramento, with 20-25 roast whole pigs and live music for $40 to benefit the Sacramento Food Bank.
