‘Fairytale Theater’ comes to West Sac stage

Fairytale Theater comes to the Black Box Theater in the West Sacramento Community Center (1075 West Capitol Avenue) through the holidays.

Watch “Holka Polka” and journey through a land where witches, wizards and royalty come together to find out who cast the sleeping spell on the prince. Saturdays at noon, Nov. 16, Dec. 7 & 21, and Jan. 11.

View “Peggy the Pint-Size Pirate” and see if the pirates can keep Peggy from becoming one of them because she’s too small, and see how she fairs against the evil sea monster. Saturdays at noon on Dec. 14, Jan. 4 & 18.

Tickets are $5 from www.westsacfun.org, or from the community center in advance. Tickets will be available at the door if they’re still available.

Drama camp for young actors next month in West Sacramento

Something else for your little drama queen (or king) to do this summer: they can join the young actors’ workshop, and learn basic acting skills regardless of experience or talent. Open to youth age 10-18. $90,and classes go from July 8 to Aug. 2. Call 617-4620.

Actors from the River City High School Drama Club are hosting a festival of one-act plays this weekend in the Black Box theater at the West Sacramento Community Center, 1075 West Capitol Avenue. Curtain goes up at 7 p.m. May 24 & 25. Tickets are $4.
